What if I wanted to hide all posts by a member (Change visible from 1 to 2?)
I have a member that I may want to hide all of their posts in a temporary way in case the member comes back and askes for their posts to become visable again....
I am curious if I would be making a huge mistake if I go through and execute a mysql command in the posts table such that when post[userid]='1' make post[visible]='2' in the database? I know enough to try this on a developmental board first! I hope that I could undo this later by going through and performing the opposite if the member wants their posts back on the forums later (IE change visible back to '1') Would this cause me problems? |

It was under vBulletion Options >> User Banning Options The only problem I have with that is under the post it says: "The administrator has decided that MEMBER should be quiet for a while." I can edit that phrase however... |

FYI, visible = 2 means soft deleted, not hidden.

So, changing that to a "2" would not have any negative impacts on the rest of my board...? I wanted to test it on my Dev board but I am trying to work on an integration and I was really not looking forward to making a mistake even on my Dev Board as I have a ton of code posts on there I need to save! |
