Find Users Password
Hi.
I am wondering how I can find a specific user password in VBulletin. There does not appear to be anything in the Admin features (although I read there used to be in older versions of VBulletin and when I look at my mySql database I can see all private messages, etc. but the passwords are encrypted. There must be a way! |

Nope, there is no way to get the passwords. They are hashed into the db and no one has come up with a way yet to get them. I don't know why anyone would need or want them other than the users who own them. I know I would never belong to a site that could do that.

Yea I didn't think there was a way.
The reason I needed to know was to actually find one of my passwords. I created a few dummy accounts on my forum to post and make the forum look busy when it was first created 6 months ago. I wanted to go back and use that account again (it hadn't been used in 4 months) and I forgot the password plus used a phony email lol |

Or go into the db and change the email address to a good one and do the Lost Password and chnage it back after you get the account back.

Or just change the password via the admin panel
