I just want to say thank you to the community, modders and coders here. I've just spent the last 3 hours of my life setting up and lightly modding a phpBB forum and it is _ABYSMAL_ compared to vBulletin.

I've never appreciated vB and the work you all do here as much as I do now. So.. Thank you all.

3 hours to setup custom user profile fields, wading through their slew of poorly-arranged hacks and mods, and they still don't work. In vB I could add 100 of them in about 5 minutes.

Ugh. The forum is for a buddy of mine who doesn't want to buy vB. I think I have some serious convincing to do.

Tell him to go with SMF. 100000000 times better than phpBB. It is actually up to speed with current paid software (sort of, it still doesn't have as many features, but way closer and as far as I can tell more secure than phpBB).
