Custom Roster (vB Intergrated)
I run a gaming clan and for years have had to manually enter the user's name, rank, status...The user's name will be a link to another window with their profile information. For every user I had to create a separate HTML file with redundant information spots (e.g., name, rank, contact, picture...). It gets tedious, especially if you have a lot of members. Having a common template of such sort and user's embedded in the database would be of much help.
Using the methods of vB's Members List and Members Info pages is it possible for me to create a custom roster that can do this? Something like: roster.php (page where user names are listed) - Created but by using vBadvanced structure roster.php?go=userid1, roster.php?go=userid2, roster.php?go=userid3 By clicking on the user's name will trigger it to the template where the profile information is sorted out neatly. I've just recently started working on this idea but it has been on my mind for some time. I am new to vB so if anyone could please point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it. I'm also willing to share it with the community if I can get it to work. |
