Exporting/moving SQL data from server onto home XP machine?
I'm trying to get a test version of VBulletin on my home machine so I can play around and test stuff before putting it live.
Now I've done this once before, somehow, but have completely forgotten how I managed it. I've FTP'd the VBB directory from my server to my home machine, but am now stuck trying to simply export the SQL database from my server to MySQL on my home machine. My server has phpMyAdmin 2.7.0-pl1 on it, which has a nice export option, but the version of phpMyAdmin on my home XP machine (which was installed as part of PHPTriad) is version 2.2.3 in which I just cannot see an import option in? Now I have managed to do this before, but have forgotten how.. Can someone please help me just get a mirror of my VBB system running on my home machine so I can test some stuff... In short, how can I import a MySQL database onto my system? Thanks... UPDATE I've managed to get PHPMyAdmin 2.8.0.1 on my machine which has the import option... Can anyone recommend the best export formatting (SQL) options? (UTF7?) |
