Exclude forums from get new and daily
I know there are two mods on this board that do this, but I don't want the user to be able to choice which ones. I want it to be an admin option where the admin can make a forum not show up in "Get New Posts" and "Daily Posts".
Anyone? Thank you. |

search_getnew_start
PHP Code:
If you want a more versatile solution (eg. setting in forum manger) this will require a new field in forum table and at least one more plugin. (Or you would have to hijack forumoptions, which is not recommended) |

I'm dumb as a rock. I can't find search_getnew_start :P Also, where exactly do I place it.
P.S. We made these msg at the same time a day apart. :P |

It's a hook location. Do it via your plugin manager > Add new plugin.

Is there anyway to actually make this work the other way around, but this I mean rather than excluding specific forums, could we use an 'include' command to specify specifically which boards to appear on the getnew / getdaily pages?
The reason I ask this is because I have a large amount of forums, over 400 and I require this to be setup in order for each subsection in my forum to filter the new posts for that section only, rather than the board as a whole. |
