I personally prefer GD ( www.GeekyDesigns.com ) and the person who runs it is very well known around here, so you should be good going with him.

When you have made a choice, investigate the experiences with that host at www.webhostingtalk.com

Since switching my sites to Host Gator over the summer I haven't had any downtime or performance issues. The one time I had to contact support to get a database imported they had it completed within the hour (My last host took three days to import a database for me ...)

I can vouch for Lunar Pages as well - My best friend hosted our bands website with Lunar Pages for over a year until I switched it over to my Host Gator account (It seemed silly for us both to be paying for hosting.)
