Some fields in the links table, including hits, link url etc, are of wrong value, and on the Top 10 Links when a site gets 99 hits, it will go back to 0 hits and start again. I'm going to add some of my own features to it (search, hit count, admin approval) today. Oh, if you want your links to be ordered A-Z, then change (in links.php) the following: Code:
$asb = $DB_site->query("SELECT * FROM gportal_weblinkslink WHERE catagoryid=$catid")

Ok - admin approval is done now, too... I had a links directory hack of my own which was almost done, but buggy - so I've managed to salvage some code to expand this hack
I'll only make these mods public if the creator of this hack approves, though... What they do: Search -- self explanatory Hit counter -- when a user clicks a link, they go via a redirect page which increases a hit counter in the links db, and as such displays the new total in the linkbit Validation -- when a user submits a link, it is not displayed until the admin moderates it. admin can moderate link title, url, description, and even delete the link if he wishes. Sound good?

Yep, have it running on my site now
We only have 4 links though, so the search needs to be a word you KNOW is there LOLSearch example: go here and search for "opeth" http://www.ultimatemetal.com/forum/linksearch.php Click the resulting link to see how the hit/jump works. I'll attach a screenshot of the validation page to this post

I also hope to have categories display the number of links in each catagory as well...

Very cool. I will install this as soon as the final version hits this thread - with the search options etc. This is so gonna replace the current hack I have. Great work! And Happy to hear you are staying.
