Hullo! :glasses:
I have a specific forum in which each thread only has one post. However, each thread's post is edited often for updates (instead of posting a new post, we edit the thread). Is there a way to bump the thread up to the top of the certain forum upon editing? Also to show Last edited: 04-05-03 at 03:30 PM as the actual last editing date, not the date of creation. I tried a few different variables in teh template that I thought would work, but alas. None worked. ($post[edittime], $post[editeddate], etc...) Ideally the "last post" column on the forumdisplay page would also reflect the 'last edited' date/time instead of the date/time of creation (or last post created, but since each thread only gets one post ... you get my drift). Misc. Information that might be helpful The specific forum uses a forced styleset so I have a separate templateset for the forum. I'd be very appreciative with assistance on this hack. The forum is a gallery of sorts, which is why I want one post per thread. I can be reached on msn at thecharmedgirl@hotmail.com |

I'll look into it when I get home. It should be very easy.

I don't wanna rush you by all means, but I was wondering how this one was going. :$

I was going to do it by updating the creation date, but since I just saw that you can't do it, I don't know of a way. At least not a simple way because for way complex hacks I sell them instead.

*lol* I hate it when hacks go from "should be easy" to "complex". ![]() ![]() Thanks! |

Rose, sit tight. I'll, come up with a way to do it and save you having to pay for it.

Boofo - as I mentioned, here are a couple of screen shots with a bit better clarification.
![]() The second is the threaddisplay - the text in the postbit says "last edited on:", but the date and time is displaying as the 'created on' date, not the edited on date/time. I do hope this isn't too complicated. ![]() |

Here's the second image.
Also, sidenote - the new thread/edit buttons are only available to me, the admin, not to members. Members see a much "cleaner" display without the new thread/new reply or edit buttons. |
