Force Users to Read a Thread 2.0
About this hack:
This hack allows you to set a thread as 'must read' by your members. Right now, if you make a post and want all your members to read it, you have no way of enforcing it. This hack will give an error message similar to the one you get when you need to change you password, saying that the admins want you to read a certain thread before they continue using the forum.
Once a user reads a thread, they wont be bugged to read it again.
You can set all usergroups or just certain onces that must read a thread.
You can set to site wide or just some forums.
Option to Force Guests
This hack added one query to every page on your forum a member goes to.

Sometimes a hack comes out SO easy to install yet so extremely useful and works perfect on first install. The settings are robust and simple. Thank You abe! This will save me many mass emails..
Is it possible to make Announcements force read as well?
I've installed this and cannot see the option yet, I'm trying to double check everything to make sure I did not miss anything.
All files uploaded, product installed, this was the first time I'm installing it. Using 3.7.0 gold.
Accessing "/admincp/force_read_thread.php" works as seen in this post, but I cannot get to that page anywhere else.
Also once adding via that page nothing is saved. I guess I will uninstall for now and wait for an update. Thanks though, I've used the 3.6.X before with no problems (aside from multiple read requests)

I found my problem - for some reason Firefox had just about everything cached, so only after I closed the browser and relogged in was the admin setting there. I havn't had that before so not sure why it happened now.
