It's Xmas again.
I made it last Christmas when vb was 3.0.X. So I call it "LastChristmas".
Reminds me "Last christmas, I gave you my heart, but the very next day, you gave it away..."
So I lost the source files, like PSD, FLA files. :disappointed:
For the pain I suffered through style update, I try to edit as less templates as possible. And now only three templates are changed: header, footer and standard_redirect. This makes it compatible for all 3.5.X version. Next year, when I need it, I won't have to do much on the Xmas style. Well, this Christmas is the last christmas of next year also. :ermm:
There is a "big" header. If you don't want to use flash, you can use the head.jpg instead by modify the header template. Or for the download speed, I have this head.jpg sliced. See pics from "header_01.jpg" to "header_08.jpg". These pics are all in "styles/yyxmas/extra" folder.
The style's width is fixed to 770px. May be you like the width unfixed, you can edit the "header" template and "body" in main css. For I am busy these days, sorry.
This styles is made from a windowsblinds theme ChristmasTime by mormegil. Great thank to him.
1. Unzip the file downloaded.
1. Upload folder 'styles' to the ROOT directory of your vb.
2. Upload the XML style in admincp and your done!
The fla.zip contains three different snowing style. You can choose what you like.
Here is a fluid width style for unfixed width use.
I am busy and lazy, I am not clear about the new pics added for the unfixed style use. So, simple rules for simple person. Just copy the whole extra folder . Overwrite exsitings. That's it.
The unfixed version's xml file is in LastChristmas+.zip named vbulletin-style-yyxmas-unfixed.xml.
Enjoy~
Merry Christmas and Happy new year.

in the instructions it says to uload the style folder to the root and the xml through your admin panel,,,,,i am assuming we should remove the xml from the stye folder first?
usually the xml is seperate from the folder you upload to the server or is this style developed totally different than most and it should be left as is?
thanks
Go to Styles & Templates,
Go to Replacement Variable Manager,
Go to LastChristmas and [Add New Replacement Variable].
See screen in my attachment
My forum root is forum, but some people have forums or other.
Save and now you see a fixed portal
Thanks ,,but once i do this,,all my buttons disappear,,if i remove the varible, they come back.
the path for the buttons is correct in both cases,,,,
any idea's??
That's impossible for me to get the perfect work at all because vb 3.6.x have different structure (and needs some buttons so it's xml file don't have inside to get them work).
I need too this great style but if anyone port it for vb 3.6.4 please?
I got it working on a custom skin for 3.6.4, but the only thing I am stuck on is getting my logo to show, this has to be the nicest Xmas skin, used it last year and bringing it back this year.
