There's a vB4 version of this mod available: https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=231427
DownloadsII DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options. Because a lot of people keep on asking this: This mod works with any version of vBulletin 3.7.x and 3.8.x! It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself. Instructions & Support You can find an installation manual in the zip package (Readme-Install.txt). We try to answer most questions asked in this thread. Please don't send any pm's if we don't ask for them, as we said we try to give a high level of support in this thread. Don't forget to click the install link, so you will receive important update notifications. Screenshots & Live demo At the bottom of this post, you can find 6 screenshots of the front-end and back-end (AdminCP part) of the DownloadsII software. You can see the newest version in action at the Minatica.be Downloads (Dutch). Changelog (version 5.1.2) Jelle
Help!!! I can't upload large files?? This is probably the second most asked question. Have a look at this post for the solution. It doesn't work with GARS?! If you also use the latest version of GARS, you will get the "Fields marked in RED must be filled in!" error when uploading a file. I provided a fix here on the GARS forums. Addons We are offering 3 addons for this mod at the moment (have a look at the bottom of this post for them). DownloadsII contains 5 hook locations for the vBulletin plugin systems, so you can add extra functionality without file edits. Do you want to help expanding DownloadsII (if you are a coder)? Hi,
Could you in the next update add the name of the file in the URL? Like "fileid=190&filename=my_file" If we have that we can make good rewrite rules to make the module vbSEO compatible. |

What I'd really be interested in is making the next version inherently vbSEO compatible, ie ... the url's work that way within DownloadsII itself. Would you be interested in helping me modify the code?

Sure.
Here are a few things that cause problems at the moment do=manfiles: Sometimes there is the &act parameter sometimes not. Make sure it allways has the &act parameter so the rewriterule does not fail on it. Myfiles uses the do=my parameter. Somehow the rewriterule fails on the "my" parameter. The request to add the filename in the parameters is so we can read it from the parameters and make html filename containing it. so you get http://www.mydomain.com/forums/file1...reat-hack.html Searchengines will then present the page containing the file sooner since the name is allready in the URL. Just mind to strip the special chars. |

CyberRanger,
you can find the list of vBSEO Functions for Extensibility here: http://www.vbseo.com/f2/vbseo-functi...sibility-1662/ (it can be used to integrate vBSEO functionality in 3rd party products). Otherwise, you can simply include file/category titles in dynamic URL as Arjan mentioned above and vBSEO's "Custom Rewrite Rules" feature will take care of everything else. |

I must say I am very pleased with this mod! Kudo's to all that contribute to this. If by chance this is no longer supported, I will be forced to hunt the developers down and kill them! :bandit:
In all seriousness, this has made my job so much easier just using vb and not another cms to integrate with it |

Me too! I started to re-code that, couldn't get it to work correctly, and had to move on to other items. It's still on the list of "to-do's".
