TfSEO 2.1
TfSEO is a powerful and free url rewrite for the vBulletin system: it rewrite forum, thread and post urls.
For me it's very hard to explain well all the feature of this plugin, soo the best way is test it.
How much does it weight on the server?
I have tested on my home server:
TfSEO enabled, heavy:
Code:
[root@hserver ~]# ab -n 100 http://hserver/tfseo_1/main-forum-f2/dsadas-t4

Like you can see product takes about +10ms per request.
Note: vbulletin will have by default a rewrite system from version 4.0 (beta should coming next month, april). I relly suggest you to wait, and not use this product. If the vb's rewrite will be great, i will no more update this product.
I have your mod running on my 3.8 and all is well, but i would like to know how can make members a simple and easy link to remember and give to there friends to get to there profile.
Also changes the profile link in members profiles contact us tab from the long ugly link to the new short sexy link.
Also Adds a nicely placed User Profile link to the top of the navbar with profile editing links.
Hi there. I'm going to do a big update to the product, and i ask for feedback. This is what i think to do:
-Include and incrase the sitemap plugin from paketeto.
-Fix the two old bugs: the vbadvanced and the wrong ('edit-this-') urls from forumdisplay.
-3.8 Update.
Any other suggest, except the rewrite of members profile?
Jeff, I am using VBCMPS on my home page. When I use recent threads module below the news module, along with TFSEO the whole page breaks up. The Recent threads heading repeats 5-6 times. I am attaching a screenshot, since I had to put the settings off from the live site. Please help. I am in deep mess. I cannot afford to remove TFSEO at this point because all my re-written URL's are indexed by google. Also I need to use the recent threads module. Please help... will appreciate it!
Regards,
Sadik
This is the "classic" vbadvanced bug. You can remove the vbadvanced plugin, and wait for the update. You will no lose positoning.

That would be great! Fixing the 'edit-this-' bug is all I ask for

hi Jeff, thanks for the reply. No I cannot afford to remove vbadvanced. But I can wait for a few days for the update. Can you provide any timeline when the update will be released?
Also in the update, will you rewrite URLs from the news archive and recent threads modules of vBadvanced? It would be great because if I have vBadvanced and I cannot use recent threads than it's off no use.

thanks for your time.
You don't have to remove vbadvanced, remove the vbadvanced tfseo plugin!
I'm looking to install this product sometime this week, but will it crush my server when I initially load it? Not sure if it'll end up having to convert all the URLs and cause a huge server overload (over 500,000 posts).
I checked with my host, and they said the normal server increase that it causes should be fine. I'm just curious about the initial, thanks!

I suggest to wait the new version, it will fix some bugs. You shoulden't get any server load problem of any sort, and the rewrite, too, isn't heavy.
