If MAC would support windows, i'd get one too.
But since it doesn't, the PC will be for me. |

actually you do not need to "run bootcamp"... if you have a seperate HD or a partition, simply restart using your Vista/XP install disk, format the HD you want to use, and tada... the Bootcamp driver can be installed once you have setup your Windows, so you insert Leopard CD and the installer will load itself. It is actually used to setup the Ethernet and Sound drivers, nothing else... or you have specific keyboards and some other things on your Mac. You can also restart from Windows to Leopard then...
--------------- Added [DATE]1230907783[/DATE] at [TIME]1230907783[/TIME] --------------- hum, btw, what about the PC version of the Mac-OS, Darwin installed on a PC... never tested... someone played with it?... i know it's more like a Gnome or another Linux interface, so it do not render the usability of the Mac-OS, but i suppose it can be fun to play with.. ![]() |

Mac or PC, I guess you can't blame either for that one.

Stupid question I supposed but do most tech help companies such as Geek Squad know as much about Mac as they do about Windows? I really want to try a Mac but worried about the support issues as it relates to availability and ability since I'm such a computer knob. All of my company's tech support is currently hired out.
Thanks Gabby |

Support for a Mac ?!... why ?!...
GeekSquad exists because Windows is full of bugs and non-senses... GeekSquad exists because most of the Windows users have problems with their configurations or setups... people who know about their PC will have no need of GeekSquad because they know how to install a HD and how to download its driver on the net. on a Mac, there is no driver -- so why ask for help if you install a HD on your Mac?! a Mac do not need any driver that is not already provided in the OS a Mac do not need specific configuration for each feature of the OS a Mac do not have security levels across its OS, it is safe already the reason why a Mac have a firewall is to prevent the PCs from its network to get visited the reason why a Mac have an Anti-Virus is to prevent the PCs from its network to get infected ...other than that, you have nothing to setup when you install a Mac on your desktop... you can install most of the same softwares if there is no replacement within the OS (iWork replace MS Office -- and there is OpenOffice as a free solution) You will have to take 2 or 3 hours to be aquinted to the new display and how the functions are set, but it's like changing a car from a manual to an automatic... ![]() |

I'm a Mac since 2006 and I don't plan to back to using Windows anytime soon.
