This is in reply to this thread.
Download the product-itemstats.xml, vb_itemstats.php and 'itemstats_1.2.zip'. Unzip itemstats_1.2.zip to your forum-root (ie http://your.site.tld/forum/itemstats), and follow the basic setup instructions in doc/config.txt. Copy vb_itemstats.php into your itemstats-folder. Paste the following two lines into the bottom of your headinclude-template HTML Code:
<link rel="stylesheet" href="itemstats/templates/itemstats.css" type="text/css"> <script type="text/javascript" src="itemstats/overlib/overlib.js"><!-- overLIB (c) Erik Bosrup --></script> Link items with [item]Item name[/item]. The first time the item is loaded might take some time, as it fetches info from allakhazam.com. From then on it will be cached in the database, and should load instantly. Unzip itemstats_1.2.zip to your forum-root (ie http://your.site.tld/forum/itemstats), and follow the basic setup instructions in doc/config.txt. In the config.txt file it explains where to where to define your icons: 2. Icon store You may wish to create a local store of icons on your server. This helps to reduce the bandwidth between your server and allakhazam. I would say it also speeds up your page refreshes, but it's actually the opposite in my case. I still use my own local cache out of respect for Allakhazam's bandwith. The default installation points to allakhazam. If you wish to change this, open 'itemstats/config.php' and look for the following lines: define('ICON_STORE_LOCATION', 'http://wow.allakhazam.com/images/icons/'); define('ICON_EXTENSION', '.png'); I followed the OP's instructions and never had any problems. The mod also created the item table for me. I didn't have to set one up in MySql, only define the database. You can spot the create code in the itemcache.php file. Review your itemstats/config.php file and see if it has a typo for image(s). Hope this helps. |

I've tried it again, and now it's working... but the overlib functions don't seem to work right. Stuff doesn't line up well, etc. See screenshot aswell.
I've tried finding the files that create the overlib, but I don't know whice ones to edit. |

Thanks ChiliVB... it's working now, but I still encounter a problem... Check the screenshot. This happens after editting a post already containing an itemstat BB code in it. This is done in WYSIWYG editor btw, and when editing, the original item seems to be opened as a normal link.
Is there a way to fix this? I looked through the posts here, but couldn't find a solution. Also just noticed that it doesn't yet work with vbadvanced plugin.. it doesnt display the item in the news posts when you place a [item]xxxx[/item] in the news post. Weird.. didn't change anything to the code a while, tried it again, and now it doesnt work at all anymore |

Also some folks have it working with vbadvanced, a few posted here. See post #21 about using absolute paths to resolve that. |
