What is Member Map?

Welcome in the new year by showing your community that it's a small world after all!

Show your users' locations can be shown on an interactive google map after being geolocated from their ip addresses.
Also supports the ability to show all users or only those that are currently logged in.
Locations are calculated in batches to ensure smooth performance, or updated by each person using html5 browser location.
Markers can have custom colors per usergroup and features a popup with a mini profile including avatar.

Your forum friends were closer than you thought!

Did you try setting the permissions in the Usergroup Manager?

Working great under VB4.2.0 PL3

Is it possible to add an option to map all users having at least 1 post?

Thanks a lot
Eros

I don't think that's possible at this time, sorry. If you want to suggest it as a new feature, I'd urge you to post it in our forum - suggestions made here at vBulletin.org will be lost in time since we don't have any issue tracking systems here.

How detailed does the map go into? Is it zoomable (assume it is) to the point of showing street addresses? What geo-location data is used to determine the map location?

It is zoomable yeah.

The registration IP is used, although members can also manually re-deploy their pin in case the IP provides an inaccurate location.

I dont understand how this mod works...

I have installed since one week and my map appears empty.
Im using vBulletin 4.2.0 version and have 125.000 members.

My admin group config:
Can View Member Map: Yes
Excluded From Display: No
Can Edit Own Location: Yes
Can Opt Out: Yes

Already have run Member Map Geolocation manually... but map still empty.

What Im doing wrong?

Thanks!
