Support
This modification is released for free, and as such we don't officially support it; however, as time permits we will try to offer support on it. We will NOT be monitoring this thread on a daily basis, your best bet for a fast reply would be to go post here.

Common Issues/Topics
Chat Bar Don't Show Up?
Have you configured the usergroup settings? This is the most common issue we see, and 99% of the time it is due to usergroup settings not being configured properly. So if your bar is not showing up, please verify your usergroup settings before reporting it as an issue.

Messages Don't Show Up?
We are aware of an issue causing messages to not show up for some people, and are looking into fixes.

Modification Has Conflict With Another Product
There is always a chance that two products will conflict with each other! We are aware of some, but please feel free to tell us about any products you find to conflict via our Bug Tracker on our site.

Chat Doesn't Support Certain Characters
The chat can only support the characters your board itself can support! If you would like to support certain characters, you must have your board using a charset that supports them. We have only ever once noticed a chat that didn't support every character the board did, and we are looking in it.

Chat Kills My Server
We have tested the chat extensively for server friendliness, and have found it to be very gentle on servers. We have seen the script run with hundreds of active users without putting hardly any load on the server. However, an improperly configured server may result in any reverse-AJAX/push-AJAX/Comet based chat script killing the server. If you find that your server slows down after installation, you may want to talk with your host about raising your MySQL and Apache Max Connection Limits to a more appropriate amount!

Yes, I included that hook after disabling them. Nothing is being displayed on bottom. everything is right, been doing Vb for 10 years, since version 1.x I see others having issues as well, I'm gonna sit tight a few days and see what you come up with.

Update: INstalled on another forum, same version of Vb. "Will work if I DISABLE VSA CHATBOX" Can we move some stuff so they don't interfere?? I know he was there 1st but a brief look will be appreciated. Also, freinds online it shows there avatar and it's huge at the bottom of the page. Also, the main forumhome doesn't give any graphical interface, just the words Thank You

Where exactly does it say sending request at?
Is the bar itself showing up at all?
Does anything on the bar work if it is showing up?

I'm not sure why it wouldn't show on the first board you installed it on. If I had to guess I would say that another modification on it was conflicting.

As for the conflicts with VSA Chatbox on the second board, we can look into that for another version; however, remember this modification will also have chatboxs within it soon enough, so not entirely sure anyone would really use both at that point.

Lastly, for the large avatars, I would say that something was overwriting our css for the avatars, and I will see about changing the css some to help keep that from happening in future releases.

I have looked into your issue, and found the problem, but I'm not entirely sure why it is happening.

I have also tested it on other sites, and it works fine. So I believe that one of the other modifications you are running might have JavaScript that is conflicting with ours.

One way to find out which modification of yours it is that is breaking it, if it is one, would be to turn them each product off one at a time until you see the chat work, then turn all of them back on but that one and ensure that the chat still works.

If you want, I can look for the specific modification that is breaking it later (most likely tomorrow).

i justt turned off all plugins and still nothing! i do have a notification thing the WSF one? That uses ajax, that is the only thing that is left

Right now moving it will cause an issue, but we are working on a new version, and we are planning to add the option to change where that link displays, as well as if that link should display.

The new version should be out in the next few days.
