Mike, you could modify the calendar_rsvp_bit template and add encapsulate the entire thing in an if conditional based on the user group. That should do it for you.

All, you may have noticed that after adding this hack, an excessive number of queries were launched each time you brought up a thread with an RSVP event. This was caused by multiple calls to the fetch_phrase function. This has been corrected in version 1.1.1 of this modification.

Thank you for fixing that!

However, the update to your Event Attendance (1.2.0) broke Quick Reply. I can attest to this as I had noticed complaints of this, but it was working fine for me until I upgraded to Event Attendance 1.2.0.

Was this fixed in 1.2.1? The Revision Log doesn't mention it.

Edit: I guess not.. I'll post over in the Event Attendance thread about it, then.

Thanks so much for the update, Robert.

I used to have 60+ queries, now i only have 30+ for event with 18+ rspv.

By the way, I notice there is an uncached template for this. And there is no name for the uncached. just an empty (1)

Do we need to uninstall or do anything special to upgrade or will an overwrite of the existing template work?

Just reimport the XML file and allow overwrites and you'll be fine. There are no template changes from v1.1.0 to v1.1.1, so if you modified the templates you can keep the modified versions.

I have the Evercraft's Event Forums already installed. I am going to install Farecaster's Event Attendance Mod because I would like to allow my users to RSVP "Yes," "No," or "Maybe," for events posted on our forum calendar.

DOES THIS MEAN I NEED TO INSTALL "Farcaster's Event Attendance & vb Event Forums Integration" MOD?

Yes. You need this integration hack and the Event Attendance hack to have RSVPs on your Event Forums

First of all, let me go ahead and recommend this hack for anyone who wants to manage RSVPs on your forum. It has worked great so far.

However, I have noticed a problem and I am looking for a solution. I have found if you edit the time, for example, if an event ends at 9:00 PM and you adjust it to 10:00 PM, it is deleting all the RSVPs. Luckily, I caught this during a test run before I actually started collecting "live" RSVPs. As long as you don't edit the time, it works fine. Also, it lets you edit the body of the event and RSVPs stay intact. It is only when you adjust the time, that it deletes the RSVPs.

Is there an edit that I can perform to fix this problem?
