Since the bridgescript that comes with Coppermine 1.4.2 for vBulletin doesn't work at all I started digging in the script and corrected it to finally work.
While I was at it I also added support for the vBulletin 3.5.x branch
Installation:
Easy!
Just upload the "vbulletin30.inc.php" from this archive into your Coppermine's bridge folder while OVERWRITING the existing one.
You can then launch the bridgemanager (http:/www.yourdomain.tld/gallery/bridgemgr.php) and set everthing up.
That should have done it.
If you followed all the instructions from the manual and the bridgemanager you should now have a fine working Coppermine with your vBulletin.
I tested this myself on my own forums with the following setups:
im running 1.4.3 CPG and vb 3.5.2 - it bridges fine (i didnt use your hack) but i cant get the login and logout to work properly.
if im logged in on the forum already and then visit the gallery im looged in already on that... if i attempt to log in via the CPG it takes me to forum index... how comes? and when i log out from the CPG it gives me some error and then says click here to log out...
That logout thing (vB says "click here to logout") seems to be common,I have that well, it's because some cookie hash is not given on the logout URL or such.
IMHO that's not sooo bad.
However general problems with loggin in/out seems to be some serious in CPG itself and/or the bridge system.
I think this also the cause of the usergallery problem, 'cause from the debug info I got it seemed like bridge was active but actually not really used for logging in users.
Unfortunately that's the only clue I got so far.
I tried several different installs/situations to recreate that problem - no luck
One thing I got during my experients was that after DISABELING the bridge I haven't been able to login to CPG at all.
Seems to something more deep down :-/

1) not sure on this. have to look myself
2) They are controlled sort of in both.
Once you added/removed a usergroup in vB go to the groups manager in CPG.
This will sync the usergroups over and you can then set the CPG permissions for each usergroup-
Works fine after the fix gasxtreme posted (thanks!). Is it possible to tie the theme in with the forums without creating a new CPG theme? (I am guessing no)
let me make sure i got this straight. you use the admin login that you made to setup coppermine, and then go to groups. right? i dont see my custom usergroups from vb.... how do I refresh CPG to see my VB groups?? I tried going into VB ADMIN control panel and I see nothing in the user group permissions.
