I haven't had such issues, Tom. If you didn't make any changes to the mod or added other mods and this just started happening, I'd contact the host.

I did contact them and they are saying this is the issue:
Fri Feb 9 17:01:38 2007: used 30.03 seconds of cpu time for HTTP Request: mywebsite.com : GET /member/vbimghost.php?do=upload At the exact time this happened the server I am on the load was at 10.09 (4 cpus). I am ready to move from bluehost. I have been with them since they started but they are all about the money now and not the client. ACK! You are correct in assuming I did nothing to the mod. It has been running fine until this. Thanks..I appreciate the confirmation. Tom |

30 seconds of CPU time seems like a lot. Do you have a slow upload and they are maybe counting the whole time the connection is open?

I wan't uploading anything. I only clicked the upload link to give me the page to upload a file. This is the time it was taking just to open the upload page which it never did. The issue was on their side. It is shared hosting. We are forever now running into other accounts zapping the server such as I pointed out that at the time I was attempting this our server load was at 10.09 (4 cpus) which nothing will work for anyone when this is doing this.
They however wish to blame it on you if you contact them and tell you to modify your scripts to run the minimum load possible for the server. As it stands the box we are on has 840 shared accounts and they say accumulating 500 plus per day. I really was hoping it was an issue that was a simple fix others were having but I knew it was my host and not the mod. |

TOM, I too rent from bluehost & have been having major problems with them,....but this is going
off topic. There is a thread regarding host problems here on vb.org. I have a dedicated ip, I also get the most you can get from bluehost, I haven't yet had the problem you are having with them about this particular mod. Feel free to pm me or visit my site to share our troubles about bluehost. |

Ranma2k ~ Since the images are not renamed when uploading, what happens if a user uploads two pictures with the same name, or if two users upload pictures with the same name? Is this something you've taken into account?

Here is something to take into account. First. I am paying for professional webhosting. Second, when you click this link: http://myhost.com/forum/vbimghost.php?do=upload
This error occurs. No matter if there is one member or twenty members. How is it you explain that? |
