DownloadsII

DownloadsII is a download database that integrates into vBulletin. It allows you to upload files, add images to them, create categories, link to external files - and more. It is very flexible and has many options.

It's also coded 100% XHTML 1.0 Transitional valid, just like vBulletin itself.



Instructions & Support

Requires vBulletin 4.0.4 or higher. Not fully compatible with lower vB 4 versions.
It works fine with both the new editor in vB 4.1.4 or higher and the old one in previous vB versions.

Read the instructions in the next two posts before installing/upgrading this mod!

You can find an installation/upgrade manual in the zip package (Readme.txt).

Though keep in mind that we are running a restyled and modified version of it.

Help!!! I can't upload large files??

This is probably the most asked question. It's mostly caused by some default PHP settings: check "PHP Max Post Size" and "PHP Maximum Upload Size" at your AdminCP home.

Then have a look at this post for the solution to up these values.
Also have a look at this post at vB.com (but ignore the MySQL part as DownloadsII is only using the file system).

Installed on my test site, it works pretty good....Had to uninstall it because it doesn't have ability to add custom fields.

First of all, great AddOn!!!

But I have found one issue: If I edit an download entry and want to save it appears an SQL Error:

if I try to specify the Mime Type & Headers on a zip file extension with

Whats the correct "Mime Type & Headers" for a Zip file in Downloads II?

Hi

I get this error when trying to add a file, I cannot find out what the error means, does anyone know?

Error! The upload failed (error type 1).

THe file is abot 5mb but my settings allow up to 25mb per file

I don't see a single place in the ACP where we can set the Usergroups for the Downloads section. Any help?

Where the tab name is Downloads i would like to change to MP3 Downloads
then where it says add file i would like to change to add music.

oh yes the other thing i would like to change is this line= Use these files at your own risk!

I couldn't use vb without this mod so thank you so much.

Yes, they have all been uploaded and set with correct settings. I do not see anywhere how to modify the usergroups though and my admin account is currently getting false permissions error. I have tried editing it in the usergroups manager>usergroup>downloadsII options, but despite that I still get a permissions error and cannot access the downloads section at all.

In the Admin CP, go to Phrase Manager. In the phrase type drop down menu, choose 'Downloads II'.

You will find all the phrases you can change there.

AdminCP -> Languages & Phrases -> Search in Phrases -> "Search for text" enter 'Downloads" -> Click on 'Find' -> Srcoll down to "GLOBAL Phrases Containing 'downloads'" -> click 'edit' next to "Downloads2".
