Edge

Had some free time this weekend and decided to create a style to release on the newly merged site. I'm calling this one "Edge" - Not really sure why but I think it just sounds cool. It's a Grey and Orange based theme that has kind of a box feel to it. Included in the .ZIP file are all the PSD's I used to create it and the font for the header. The style has a full image set including buttons, smiles and status icons - If anyone is interested in another color theme let me know and I'll see what I can do. This version of the style is fixed width but I plan on reworking it to be fluid width here in the next couple of days - I'll post an update when I get that version finished. Any comments, questions or ideas are always welcomed - I hope everyone enjoys the style !!

* Updated the style to vB 3.0.8 and modifed a couple of the images.

Update 8/7/2005 Version 1.15
* Created "Home" and "Forum" buttons for use with the fixed width version. They can be found here as well as the template modifications needed to install them. A full button pack will be released in the near future containing buttons for commonly used hacks.

Update 6/27/2005 Version 1.1
* Added the fluid width version of Edge to the .ZIP file
* Added the header .PSD for the fluid width version to the .ZIP file

this skin is really awesome. Just installed it and it runs like a charm without any glitches. Well done. I think this gets my standard style for now

Hey to add the other buttons, I can't find forum_root in my FTP, can anyone locate me where is it?

"Forum_root" isn't actually a directory - It's a placeholder for your forums root directory.

I.E. - If your forums reside at "http://www.domain.com/forums/" then your root directory would be the "forums" directory when you FTP.

Does that make sense ???

With the upcoming release of 3.5.0 Gold drawing increasingly near I am focusing my attention on converting my current styles to vB 3.5 as well as some new styles that are currently underway. i love this style ive used it as my default,thankyou for sharing,just one question i have the post thankyou hack installed on my forum is there anyway of making a button to look the same as the edit, that say thanks, ive included a pic..

I think I included a .PSD file for the buttons - If I didn't or if you don't have Photoshop let me know and I can try and make one for you sometime this week.
