What is Username Change?
Username Change is Brought to you by the Designer of products such as RPG Inferno and Inferno vBShout and the programmer of RPG Integration v3.

Username Change from DragonByte Tech is a modification designed to allow users to change their usernames at will (within your configured limits, of course).

About Username Change
Your members will no longer bug you for username changes, you can let them change it whenever they want!

It also has a history feature in the member profile, showing a list of previous usernames. This history feature uses vBulletin's own Profile Change history - no additional tables needed!

What does 'Marking As Installed' do ?

* It helps you to stay on top of updates - members who have installed modifications will be notified by us whenever new updates are available.

* For security issues - vbulletin.org will contact all members who have installed a modification whenever a security issue is brought to their attention.

* Marking a modification as installed also helps us know how many people are using our work, giving us extra incentive to provide more features and new modifications.

• Change username via UserCP -> Edit Profile
• One-click revert username via UserCP -> Edit Profile
• Username change history in a member's profile
• Moderators can change usernames at any time easily
• "Can Change Own Username" permission for users
• "Can Change Others Usernames" permission for mods
• "Can View Own History" permission for profile block
• "Can View Others History" permission for profile block
• Per-usergroup username change delay (in days)
• Per-usergroup profile history limit
• Per-usergroup maximum total username changes

ModCP Change Log

• Paginated results of all username changes
• Displays date of change, old value and new value
• Displays who changed the username
• Choose date range to display, or view all changes

Nice, I installed this on my test forum. I changed my name in my profile and now I cant get into my Admin Control Panel. Also, you cannot change your username back to the original name.

What is your username re-use delay set at? Check at admincp > settings > user registration options. All the way at the bottom.

Not sure why it would not let you login. I will test this also and verify.

Are you sure you weren't attempting to login with your old username?
I've had no problems logging in to my AdminCP with my new username once it's been changed.

This is a cool mod..but i have the same issue...You can not change back to the username you where to begin with...Could you correct this?can not wait to make it live.....thx

Is there a way of making certain usergroups only able to request a change and for a member of admin to have to approve it?

We've got one currently on our 3.8 board which does this and it's ideal

That's probably the Username Reuse Delay setting under User Registration Options

That's outside of the scope of the modification as-is, but we are thinking about expanding it and this would definitely be a feature on the list for such an expansion
