Show Thread Enhancements - Add link to user albums in postbit

This will add a link to user albums in the postbit or postbit_legacy template (depending which you use)

1.Open either your postbit or postbit_legacy template
2. Search for

$post[onlinestatus]

3. Above add

<a href="album.php?u=$post[userid]" title="View $post[username]'s Album" rel="nofollow"><img src="images/buttons/add_album.png" alt="View $post[username]'s Photo Album" border="0"/></a>

4. Save Template

I cannot use something like this, but can this be modified to or another mod created to do the following:

In new thread or Reply, can a user / member have a icon that is connected to that users albums to use the img tag for that image?

currently a user must have two pages open to take advantage of that.

I've been able to get it working with one additional sub query. I'm still looking for a more efficient way, I'll post up what I have in the next couple days once I've run out of other ideas to test.

I would really appreciate anything you find out about how to have it not show if the user doesn't have an album. I have added the icon by the icnicon and it works well.

My site is gaining some momentum, adding these little "Corrections" to a faulty design is a must. I sure hope VBulletin develpers are listening.

Personally I am convinced the furture for talk forusm is moving more toward a social networking model. With m forum, we are trying to globalize our site and bring world peace to everyoe one Motorcycle Rider at a time :up:

Theres a modification floating around here some where that did exactly this, if the user had a photo album it'd show the link, if not then it wouldn't show the link.

I can't seem to find it, but I know its in the 3.7 section some where and it worked like a charm. I'd advise people install that one since its better from a usability stand point
