What this is and does
LDM is a general-purpose tool for managing libraries of links and files, and handling uploads and downloads in a flexible way, while tracking and control user access. It has a range of integrated media players and a large library of 'plugin' extras.
Installation and Usage Explained in the on-line Wiki, with a brief explanation in the file instructions.txt in the release zip. The recent revision history is given in the first post of this thread.
Please use carefully and always backup your database before upgrading. Post reports of problems and suggestions for enhancements in this thread.
14.06.09 Version 2.3.0 is now the the officially-supported version. Works with 3.7 and vb 3.8. Please post comments in this thread
22.06.08 Version 2.2.9-post1 - This is the previous supported version. Works fine with all versions of vb 3.6 and vb 3.7. All standard features except profile integration and forum prefix selection work fine with vb 3.8.

im not sure if anything wrong with installation, but the trapvid extra is not playing video at all. there was no error and the jwplayer just kept loading.

This is still rather new, so it's quite possible that there are bugs. Have you registered at trapvid.com and set up an account with the right ip address?
It's important to enter the urls in the correct format. Try this veoh file.
Edit the entry as an admin (with *can_view_hidden* LDM permission) and take a look down the bottom of the page at the attributes section. Check that the Trapvid entity contains something that looks sensible (this is automatically created using the response from trapvid).
I've been wondering about that. I'm not sure which is the better approach.
I do not know if that will cause coding difficulties, but it would surely be good if tags connect files and threads on the same topic.
Both from a SEO perspective as from a user/functionality perspective.
Plus this would increase the use of LDM, by forum users. It is always hard to make LDM popular among forum users, because LDM is separated from the forum. Mostly a small portion of forum users use LDM. But with functions that make forum users jump back and forth from forum to LDM, the use of LDM becomes more natural or incorporated into general forum use.
This is the reason why I have asked for these functions as options in the past:
- the comments function, to be replaced by forum posts
- reputation functions for LDM
I can understand that from a programming perspective it is best to keep certain things separated from vb, but where ever integration can be done without causing programming difficulties, this would surely increase the popularity of your software.

If none of that works, am happy to take a look.
i saw the entity and enter the messy url in the browser, it responded. the veoh file still keep loading, then i tried in Firefox and Opera and it played, it is IE problem i think, thanx.

Ah....
I've read that there are some problems with the IE cache and flash. I thought I'd worked round it, but you are the second person to report this problem. I need to look into it.
