AME (Auto Media Embedding) XML's (The Geek)
Developer Last Online: Mar 2010
Okay, after much confusion on my part, i have decided to try to put together a thread for xmls related to The Geeks AME Mod. Hopefully, i will be able to keep everything up to date as far as tracking xml's that are currently working and to have a place to put together xml's per user's requests.
THESE REGEX/XML FILES REQUIRE YOU TO HAVE THE AME (Auto Media Embedding) HACK INSTALLED! (https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=150863) Here is the link to my test site: http://insanemustangs.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=2 You do NOT have to be logged in to view the video xml's. Please remember, i didn't make this mod, all i am doing is offering a place to recieve xml's for his ame mod. Doug (hotwheels) Supporters / CoAuthors Show Your Support

IGN was working fine for me until last night. I don't think you can use the chunk of url that worked before.
http://media.movies.ign.com/media/03...d_2288454.html Was using: 033/033714/vid_2288454 Now, it seems to only want: 033714 |

As websites change, so do the structure of their URLs. That's pretty much to be expected, and we have to adjust accordingly. Also, a lot of the updated XMLs have been posted in the other two threads.

UPDATES!
Well gang, after much wrestling and a clearer, though not complete, understanding of how RegExes work, I managed to run though all of the existing XMLs and update the vast majority of them. Lots of sites changed not just their URLs, but also how they embed videos. And while most were accommodating, there are a handful that just won't work based on the knowledge I have. Maybe Hotwheels or someone else will be able to have a go at them. At least there were a few that I didn't have to update. The Onion and Sevenload were just a bit buggy for me, but that may be on my forum only. For the most part they work. And I was able to create a few of my own. NEW XML FILES: AOL.Music Videos MSNBC.com Videos MyVideo.Co.Za Videos Embed Games.com Games EN/DE.Sevenload Shows/Sendungen Spike.com Vidoes (Formerly iFilm) I redid Sevenload to have one file for both English and German sites. But I also created a whole new one that embeds their "Shows", too, which uses differing embed code. A few sites that were on the list, I just couldn't make work. A few that were requested I also couldn't make work for varying reasons. SITES NOT AVAILABLE (For the moment) Dorks (This one sort of works, but it auto-plays, and it only loads audio when the page is loaded. I'll make the XML if you want to fool around with it.) Blip Bolt (Because the site doesn't exist anymore) eBaum's World iFilm (The is now Spike.com, which I made a new one for) IGN Imeem LongIslandOnline (I couldn't find a single video that wasn't already being hosted from YouTube) MiniClip (The good news is, from what I can tell, almost all the MiniClip Games are available at EmbedGames.com, which I just made an XML for!) Poker Tube Tu.TV Videojug ZippyVideos Here's the complete list of the XMLs in the attachment; the ones I made, the ones I fixed and the ones that were already working. There's a zip with the individual files, and an XML with them all just grouped together in one file. And I mean all of them. So if you want to start from scratch with working files, this is the way to start. I'm also a notorious formatting freak. So I went though all the files and named them following a consistent format. Like I said, I'm a freak. NOTE: I didn't include the XMLs for your personal site (Real, Quicktime, SWF), since those should be working fine. I also didn't include any of the porn sites, because, well, lets just say my computer is smack dab in the middle of the living room, and leave it at that. YouTube Games Embed Games Music Deezer GoEar DOWNLOAD Master XML: Attachment 78204 Individual XMLs: Attachment 78217 THINGS YOU MIGHT NOT HAVE KNOWN ABOUT AME Sort Order: One thing I've been annoyed with in AME is trying to get some kind of display order that makes sense. I found out while working on these, that entries with the same Display Number sort by alphabetically order. So what I ended up doing was setting all my working files to 1, and all my non working or in-progress files to 0. This made to where I could keep them in alphabetical order and create pseudo-categories. HTML Code: You can also put HTML code in the title and description of the fields. I put font codes in mine to make all the non-working regexs red, while the imperfect ones I made green. This is also handy for sorting as it sorts them by alphabetical order based on the text in the code. NOTE: Not a good idea to use this on working RegExs. You'll get partial code in your posts. Just use this for non-working files, or files you have off at the moment. Hopefully, Hotwheels will add this to the first post. Let me know what is and isn't working. I can't promise I can make it work. But at least we can try. |

If you're talking about Digital Jedi's post above it worked for me no problem...
And thanks Digital Jedi for your time updating the files. |

Try re-downloading it. Sometimes downloads get corrupted. If that doesn't work, let me know. I'll try to get the seperate files sometime this week or next. |

Well, baby went to bed early tonight. I got to put the individual files in a zip just now and added it to my post above. What do you think, Hothweels? Should I go for a third one of these threads? Seems like everytime someone starts one, something bad happens to them.
I had left out Rediff from my last post, so it's in the Master XML and the Zip if your interested. I'm going to try and go through the threads tonight and find the regexs that were overlooked. |
