Love the layout, looks very smart without being boring. I like the member info at the bottom like you have it, I haven't seen that before, so kudos for originality!
The only critique I can offer is that I personally think it would look better if the fixed width were wider. I don't mind the header being on the larger side except for the fact that the width is so narrow, so the header appears to be very large with that narrow width. Aside from that though, I do like the style and the setup you have!
I think it is very sharp, but I agree with Princeton. Certainly I would remove the repeating logo background at the minimum and replace with it a generic, gentle background.
