Geek Article and Review System (GARS) LITE

What do i do wrong when i go in to the Types-Article Type
And whant to change the picture and text. When i do this and click on SAVE it just came up a grey site. I haved set the Absolute path to images to 777

I am having trouble posting a new article. I just get a message:

"Please complete both the subject and message fields."

Everything is filled out. It seems to have something to do with the length. If I make a smaller message it will work. The text I have is about 4000 characters, well under the 100k limit for a post that I have set.

Is there another option I need to look at somewhere?

Mine, with the install module included. Geek still has to answer a question on the forumhome template, so I can have the proper display instead of links.

I read his forum, appears there's a compatability issue with ECReleases (which does the same thing with the install feature) which may account for a couple bugs.

The article length problem sounds like you have a low character setting in VBOptions. If you have the same problems in a non article post, then check the "Maximum Characters Per Post" under "Message Posting and Editing Options" in the Options

Yea, I checked that. I am able to post the exact same text as a regular post w/o any issues, but when I try to post it as an article it will not submit and I just get the message and some of the form is cleared.

hmm, then maybe it's another hack then. Geek did address the form cleared problem in either this or the install thread, as I had a problem with text not showing up for the checkboxes.
Just the first thing I would look at, as mentioned earlier, there are a couple other hacks that cause problems, or are set wrong in admin. other than check for those, like in the forum manager settings for that board, can't really suggest anything else. When Geek gets back (I think wednesday) maybe he will know.

Are there specific hacks that are known to cause problems? Which ones. I just upgraded to 3.5 so there are really not that many hacks yet. The v3Arcade is about the only big one.

ecReleases for one, I believe if you check his forum, there's another one there. Both are popular ones. Reason I mentioned hacks is because I have a couple that are set by board in the forum manager, and I always forget about them and start pulling my hair till I remember.
