vB Chatbox 1.2.4

What this hack does : Adds a box on top of your vB home page
where all members can chat/shout in an IRC like way, with all the
vB options added (smilies, vBcodes....)

I started this hack by modifying the shoutbox made by Doug
Tanner for phpnuke (i think).. And it went far far from his original
code. As far as i think he wouldn't recognize it .

I integrated it as far as i could with vB, and in the admin CP,
with every bit of it being possible to modify trough the admin
CP (prune, ban, censure...)...

This hack has been tested and used by some people out
there in france .

1.2.4 changes :
Install problems with the mysql reserved words solved,
Uninstalling option added to the install script,
Possibility to automaticaly add the templates to the
templatesets you chose in the install script,
IE6 problem with divs solved,
timezoneoffset mod integrated,
text input limited to 255 characters.

1.2.3 changes :
security hole on the pruning of the admin part fixed.

1.2.2 changes :
templatesused var filled with all templates used by the
script in the shoutbox.php file and in the index.php file.
And chmod 777 made on the admin/shoutbox_config.php file
by the install script. Thanks to erwin

Name changed from shoutbox to chatbox, because some people
thought of this hack as related with TWT-commish's shoutbox...

Hi

I’m running myvbindex so my forum home page was renamed from index.php to forum.php. I have installed all and checked / re-checked the php files, SQL tables, templates and CHMOD. All seems to be cool.
But when I open the forum home page I see nothing??
Because my index.php was changed to forum.php do I have to change any of the uploaded php files to reflect this?

I installed this hack and am testing it - but it is not showing the time properly...
it shows the time without the users offset taken into consideration.

for instance - my offset is -5 hours and it is now 2:05 PM, but the chat box is showing the time as 09:03

here is the lines calculate date & time - any ideas?

hi can someone help me out please? i'll be honest and say i havent searched all 29 pages for the answer so if its there just say. what needs done to flip the chatbox so the text is more like a convensional chatroom? by that i mean the input box is at the bottom, the text comes from the bottom and goes up the way.

A BIG problem I have is the [img] tags aren't working. Does anyone know how to enable them for the chatbox? Any help is appreciated.

Try to call bbcodeparse() function (chatbox.php line 93) with parameter forumid. Choose forumid of forum with img tags allowed.
