About
This is a system for geo-locating your currently online users and plotting them on a world Google Map. You can click any of the pins for a link to pull up the user's location in Google Earth.

This is something I originally made almost 5 years ago. Now that I rewrote it for vBulletin 4, I wrapped it up as a product package and released it for the world to use.

Installation

Put the usermap.php file in your forum folder.
Install the product-digitalpoint_usermap.xml product under AdminCP -> Plugins & Products -> Manage Products -> Add/Import Product

Notes

Important! - this uses the free GeoIP PHP extension, so you must have it installed on your server in order for it to work.
Uses datastore cache so it does not repeat GeoIP queries unnecessarily.
Upgraded to Google Maps API v3.

i need to install GeoIP PHP extension, on my server but never done it so how easy is it and where to download it from

Ill tryed to replace the images with my own, but nothing happend. I have a Custom-Skin so i also put the images to the customized folder - same effect. Already cleared the System-Cache with no effect. Is there a hidden Tempfile somewhere?

better - looks to me like geoip isn't installed (at least not completely).

Ti6 - There are no temp files (system writes no files on it's own).

I installed it and the php.info shows geoip.php extension...any suggestions?

You would need to have the GeoIP extensions installed on your server.

I installed it and when I click on the link I just get the following
