Hi,
Thanks very much for this great hack. I have a question which was posted about the orginal hack. A couple of the guys posted that there's potential security issues with the hack, they were saying that there's nothing to stop someone from embeding a link redirecting from within a flash movie to another site and then harvesting your member logins etc. I wasn't certain if this potential issue only applies to the previous hack, or to others including the latest version. Can you confirm? Thanks a lot marcus |

I answered your pm but I'll also answer it here. What they're trying to say is that if you allow people to embed flash files it could potentially be used in a negative way. You can turn off any of the extensions you don't want them to use. So for instance you could only allow the video sites.
This would apply to any mod or hack that allows people to embed. I personally only allow video sites. You have to decide what is best for your forum. |

Mmmm.....can someone help me along in determining why I'm getting the following error when attempting to post the link with AnyMedia?
Fatal error: Call to undefined function: curl_init() in /xxxx/xxxxxxx/public_html/forums/includes/class_anymedia.php on line 239 Here's what is on line 239: $handle = curl_init(); I am running the latest version of AnyMedia and vBulletin. |

looks like your server doesn't support curl. What link are you trying to use? If you don't have curl yahoo, dailymotion and break will not work.

Thanks Nix....I'm trying to use a YouTube video link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owMjAbkU1eE
I'll see if I can figure out how to see if my server supports "curl". Do you have any suggestions on how to find this out however>? |

I'll add a check for curl before it does it so it doesn't kick those errors out. I upload it here in a sec.
To find out of you have curl, goto your adminCP and look under Maintenance. You'll see php info. Just do a search for Curl. |
