I was actually referring to upgrades after beta 1, but this upgrade was MUCH quicker than going from 2 to 3. I had one problem in that it tried to make every character in every post a smilie, but I was able to fix that in a matter of minutes.

I remember when 3.0.3 was out, all the emphasis was on that release and the mods
were pouring in... we all worked our asses off to get our boards back to the look and feel we had with the last major vBulletin release. The just as people were posting comments like "finally my board is starting to look good again..." and "I'm almost back to where I was before..." they released a major security fix 3.0.5 then not to soon after another 3.0.7 and people were scrambling to patch and save themselves the troubles of starting from scratch! it was quite an experience no matter what approach people used to list the changes and mods. Now 3.5 is all the rage, I tried the Betas, its nice but I'm not going to rush out and strip my entire forum for it. I'm sure even after it goes gold there will be plenty of room for minor updates and stuff... For me 3.0.7 has all I need atm. |

I seriously wouldn't doubt 3.5 changing. |

I would imagine a lot of people are not going to go straight to 3.5.0 because many of the add-on hacks they use daily are not available. For instance, we use the Articles, Blogs (Journal) and Arcade, as well as a few other smaller features.

As an admin of a website you hit a point where enough is enough. Yes it would be nice to have the new features but my users will never know the difference on their end. There will always be new vbulletins coming out and really unless it equals something really cool like vb3.0.3 did vs. 2.x.x then I will stay on my version. I am not complaining just stating at some point you hit a level where upgrading every few weeks just becomes redundant.
