i can't release the source for free once it's done, you will have to pay for the value of the source code anyway... but yes, it will be released for the public... i will not do the job only for one guy....

so if you don't want to release the integration for free why are you here? i'm sorry but these are hack requests not service requests, it's one thing to say i've done this and will sell it for XX amount but you're not even doing that you're trying to barter about a price and you want someone to pay for it. if you'rre willing to release the integration for free, i'd be more than willing to provide the source code.

question is not to release the tool for free or not... and i have to tell you that this forum is not only for free hacks, it's for ASKING for a job to be done.

regarding your remarks as to paying, how do you work that out cos i made a request in free mod requests and was willing to provide the source code (not free) so you could release the hack?

Just so I know why would we try to do this around the 24camportal.com script???

I mean we are talking about an app that would allow us to do integrate with vBulletin and I don' t see a point of paying for software made by 24camportal.com... Why not just use Windows Media 9 components to create an w32 application that would communicate with given vBulletin system just for online/offline status....All video/voice should be peer to peer with possible option of going through a streaming server... but once you go that way we are talking about serious $$$ in traffic and software... I have many great ideas for this project but don't want to disclose all of them cause I am afraid someone will take em, create a product and charge others for it... Nothing bad in that but if that is what will happen then I'd like to see something out of it... or if you tell me that you'll write the thing, and make it free for everyone then I'll give you all info on it too...

Better yet somewhere here I saw an IM plugin for vBulletin, why not integrate the two together...

I don't mind paying for it as long as it has peer-to-peer option so my site with 150K members would't cost me 100K to run...

To be honest this project to be completed will take some time... I am currently considering getting my own team of programmers and writting the thing from scratch based on my spec... But if anyone already started please let me know... I'd hate do start working on something that is already in the works...
