Check Existing Posts
Should existing posts be checked? If yes, then which of it should be? Only thread's head (first post), or all posts within? Turning this option 'OFF' means that the scheduled task (cronjob) will be completely useless, it will not do any work at all. Only new & edited posts will be checked if activated in the following settings.
Options: [None | All Posts | Thread's First Post]
Check New Posts
Should new posts be checked live (on real time)? If yes, then which of it should be? Only thread's head (first post), or all replies as well? Turning this option 'OFF' means that the scheduled task (cronjob) will be completely useless, it will not do any work at all. Only new & edited posts will be checked if activated in the following settings.
Options: [None | All Posts | Thread's First Post]
Check Edited Posts
Should edited posts be checked live (on real time)? If yes, then which of it should be? Only thread's head (first post), or all replies as well? Turning this option 'ON' may cause users with low/limited internet connections to have some issues and may not be able to post, specially if their post contains many links to be checked.
Options: [None | All Posts | Thread's First Post]
Maximum Checked Links Per Post
How many links should be checked per post? If any post contains more than that defined limit, then those 'over limit' links will be ignored & will not be checked; only the first X links (as defined here) will be checked. Enter "0" for UNLIMITED.
Critical Limit/Red Line
Posts can be punished because of high percentage of dead links within. Define the "Critical Limit/Red Line" percentage here as a positive integer value (without any symbols). This "Critical Limit/Red Line" is the percentage that if dead links reaches or exceeded within a post, then that post will be punished. Notes & Examples:
"10" means if dead links within a post reaches or exceeded 10% of all included links it will be punished. If a post has less than 10% of dead links, then it will pass as valid without punishment.
"0" means that all links per post should be valid & alive (no dead links allowed, if just one link is dead the post will be punished); While "100" means the opposite, it means that all links within a post should be dead to be punished, that means if there is only one link alive & the rest are dead, the post will pass as valid without punishment.
If any post has only 5 links within it to be checked, that means each link represents 20% from all checked links. It means also if only one link is dead & you have set this setting to '10%' the expression will evaluate as true & will punish that post since it has 20% of dead links.
Check Succession Period
Successive checks for same posts can be separated by a certain period of time, so those 'checked recently' posts did not checked every time the script runs. Same posts can be checked multiple times, but with at least 1 day between each two successive checks. Define how many days should separate each two successive checks for the same post, or enter "0" to check posts ONLY ONCE. Note: "14" means your checked posts will be checked again every fourteen days (two weeks). "0" or a high Value usually recommended specially for large boards.
Checked Posts Per Batch
It is recommended to define a specific low number of posts to process in each run to prevent any possible timeout or Memory/CPU exhausting during the execution process. A Lower Value usually recommended specially for boards that has long posts with many links. There is other important factors that have strong affect as well such as: "Time/Date Cutoff Mode", "Time/Date Cutoff Value", "Check existing posts", "Maximum Checked Links Per Post", "Check Succession Period"; So please take care & try to set a logical acceptable value for each of these settings to avoid any expected/unexpected issues. You are the best one who knows your board & you are the one who can determine which suits you & your board according to your board's activity/content/requirements.
Remote Functions Maximum Redirections
The maximum amount of HTTP redirections to follow.
Remote Functions Execution Timeout
The maximum number of seconds to allow remote functions to execute.
Remote Functions Maximum Response Size
The maximum allowed size of response to accept, enter value in bytes.
Required Sharing Links
You may force users to post 'supported' sharing links within their posts in order to submit their posts, otherwise they will get an error message.
You can select which forums would you like to force users include 'supported' sharing links within their posts.

This might be offtopic but just a question...
I keep hearing all these sites such as filefront.com rapidshare.com and etc.. are not allowed to be posted on forums otherwise you could be banned.
Database error in vBulletin 4.0.1:

Error Date : Monday, February 1st 2010 @ 11:41:50 PM

Known Issues:
Posts containing huge number of links may cause "MySQL gone away" error while checking specially when you're checking many posts of that kind. A new checking process by it's way to fix this issue & allow large scale checking without causing high load.

i just had to buy the ultimate version, and that too took this product to a whole new level, the amount of settings it provides is a tweakers dream.
if your like me and handle a site where massive amount of links need to be check this is the right mod for it. and if thats not enough the level of support phpkd supplies is down right outstanding. thier ability to go beyond the call of duty to satisfy their customers is amazing if not outstanding.
if you like the lite version, you will love the ultimate release. IMO $10 is a small price to pay for what this mod does.
Most appreciated promotion .
I'm sure that you'll love the upcoming featured release more & more. It's supposed to be a shocking surprise!

Sure, with the Ultimate edition only.
And only if you enabled the "On Edit: Revert Actions" feature in the product's settings.

Why is this?? What is so bad about them?
Thanks.
Sorry, but don't understand your question.
Aren't allowed to be posted where? Banned from where? And who will ban you!?
What I'm trying to say PHPKD is what is the purpose of this mod? If I understood the description right, it punishes people who post links to those sites right? Why punish someone for posting link to that site?

No, no!! It isn't!!
Please read this description carefully: Description: This product extract sharing links (Rapidshare, Megaupload, Zshare, Adrive, Depositfiles, Filefactory, ...etc) from posts, then verifies them; If they're "Alive" the post will pass, otherwise the post will be punished (Fully Customizable).
Then the product just verifies links within posts to check if it's live or dead, if they're alive it's fine, otherwise the post -not the author- will be punished, and punished means to be moved to recycle bin or to be deleted & the reason as mentioned because it contains dead -unusable- links. That's it simply .
K, but why would you punish a user for posting some link like half a year ago and now the link is dead?
Just wondering
Good mod, but not for me I guess, but keep it up
No one said the author is punished!! I said the post itself, and it's logical choice for webmasters, no one needs to keep tons of dead threads, at least mark it as dead so new users know that those threads has dead links, and also their posters knows & may update those dead links!!

English is not my primary language, but I can understand well what is the purpose of this mod and how is this mod perform.
The term of punish thread/post here, he mean to put the moderation action to that thread/post, not to banned someone
