Watermark Images BB Code - [wm] · **Released**: 06-11-2009

What does it do?
What this mod does is allows your users to watermark images using a BB Code called [wm]. It creates the watermarks using the GD. It then saves these watermarked images to your server.

Installation Instructions

Download the product and install it on your forum
Create a directory called "wmcache" and set the permissions/CHMOD to 777 - THIS PART IS IMPORTANT
Then you can start using it!

Syntax
Very simple syntax
[wm=Watermark text]URL to image[/wm]

What's to come
This product is still in the beta stages so I want to make sure it works well before adding new bits. However once all of the holes have been plugged I will add new features. Firstly I will add support for fonts and the ability to adjust the size and colour of the watermark background. I appreciate it's a bit ugly at the moment. This will all be customizable in the Admin CP. So make sure you click install to ensure you get the new features.

GD Installed Now the messages is the same

this is picture from GD Settings and it didn't have any problem

waiting any fixes of this great hack

It could be that teh image is not supported by PHP. jpg, gif and png are the only image formats you can use.

all type img (gif - jpg .....atc)

Image format is not supported by PHP so it could not be watermarked

I only added support for those 3 formats because they are the only ones used on the web. Others such as BMP are not used.

What image did you try to use?

so this means we can watermark images uploaded in remote also or will it watermark only the attached images on forum ?

But is there any way to change the font of the watermark?

Also, would there be any ways to add a button on the editor via custom bbcode? I tried but it won't let me cause when I enter the bbcode tag name as "wm", it says the code name already exists.

I'll add support for fonts soon.

I'm not sure about the button thing, that appears to be a vB issue that I'm not sure how to fix.

I'll look into it though.
