This modification is no longer available or supported.

This hack extends the existing reputation display system from just the light/dark green pips to green and golden pips, and then golden stars as the pips limit is reached.

The dark green pips are followed by light green pips, which are then followed by 'golden' pips. When the limit these can display is reached, the display is prefixed by a golden Star, and started again. If your reputation is zero then the neutral grey pip is displayed. Negative reputations are displayed in a similar manner using light and dark red pips and stars.

Each time you 'lap' the limit of the pips display, another star is added. The number of stars in unlimited. The number and value of the pips in each group of pips is defined by six settings in the vboptions > reputation options. A line break can be inserted after the stars. The extended display system can be enabled/disabled in the options.

Just follow the install instructions in the zip file to install this product.

That doesn't really show me anything wrong - I can see a few people with one pip, so the display seems to be working (I assume they only have enough reputation for one pip to be displayed). What exactly is not working ?

There are no best settings, it depends entirely on how much people use reputation on your forum.

Hi

Great mod, however I am just starting out to use Vbulletin 3.6 for the first time and when I downloaded this mod, it said to "Import the XML file as a product using the ACP Product Manager"

How do I do this? what is the acp product manager and where can I find it?

Apologies for sounding stupid!!!!

ACP = Admin Control Panel.

brisomac: As Paul has said the ACP is the Admin Control Panel.

To get into that you click the Admin link on the bottom of your forum and then login.

Once you are in the ACP, There is a menu item on the left hand side called Plugins & Products, click that and other menu options will drop down. Click on Manage Products, which opens up a new page in the large frame of the admin panel. Then click on add/import product on that page. That will take you to the uploading options... Then choose file, find the .xml file on your computer, then click import.

Hope that helps.

Paul M: hack works good for me, installed

Hi Paul M,
I have a question, would it be possible to set a limit on start like say 10 regular stars and a person gets upgraded to a variable image, such as a small star cluster and the little stars start over again, after the next ten the variable image changes to a larger cluster and so on?

No, not possible unless more code is added, and some of the existing code altered slightly.
