Installation / Default

Install Instructions (Comments are stored in a seperate DB Table):

1. Upload Contents of "Upload to Forums Root" Folder to Forums Root
2. Chmod 777 following Folders
/vbtube/tmp
/vbtube/upload/thumb_link

3. Import vBTubePRO_v2.0_LE vBx XML File with Product Manager
4. Enter Forum Path at admincp/vBTubePRO/options -> Forum Path
For Example mine here is : /var/srv/www/httpdocs/forum/

If you don't know your relative path go to:

admincp/maintance/view php info
and ook for:
_SERVER["DOCUMENT_ROOT"] /var/srv/www/httpdocs/forum

Don't forget to enter the trailling slash!

5. Click vbtube-db-check (admincp/vbtubepro/vbtube-db-check). Be sure all files are uploaded before
6. Set Permission Settings for each Usergroup. Edit the options however you like
7. Now you can add your Categories.

Admincp/vBTubePRO/Add Category

- Category Name
- Display Number (Start with 10, 100, 200, 300, 400...)

Finished: yourdomain.com/vbtube.php

Installation / Comments are mixed up in vBulletin Posts

There are 2 ways to use vBTube.
This instruction will show you how to install vBTubePRO mixing the comments in your forum.

This means exactly: When adding videos, vBTube will create threads. When commenting videos, vBTube will create posts to that video thread.

6. Now, add a new Forum -> "Forums & Moderators" -> "Add new Forum"
Type "0" for the Display Order. So it is not visible in your forums list.

You got the option to add more Forums for Comments but it's highly recommended to use only 1 Forum for Comments !
We are supporting only the using of 1 ForumID. This means: Add only 1 ForumID to your categories... (You will see this step when adding categories).

7. Now we need the ForumID of the new added Forum for Comments.
Enter the ForumID here:
admincp/vbtubepro/Options/Latest vbTubePRO Postings/Comments ForumID

8. Set Permission Settings for each Usergroup. Edit the options however you like
9. Now you can add your Categories.

4. Option to set Style for vbtube
5. Open your Board

i really wish the support was available for this. the install for me went fine. would really like to see the pro version options.
Would love to know what actually controls the posting to threads? i want to adjust how that looks not feeling the way it posts to threads.

So mine has stopped working doesn't pull any info from link just times out so I visit his site to find no user accs looks like re-install. So are we saying vbtube doesn't work if his site is down because im going to be pissed if that's correct after all that money I paid for it!

Can my users embed videos? I see that all the videos are uploaded by admin. I just want to be sure I understand this. Is the feature only available to the admin or registered forum users as well?

Only with permissions "is vbtube admin" enabled can embed videos. So is yours still working? I cant pull any vids from youtube

I'm working on a client's site that has this mod installed on it. We are having an issue uploading videos through the mod and I need some help on finding a solution.

What the problem is:

My client tried to upload the same video I uploaded and got an email with the following message:

Regrettably the content of your video was considered inappropriate for this web site.

I tried uploading the same video and all seemed to upload fine except now there is an error on the page where the video is supposed to be displayed. The error is:

Task Queue failed at step 5: Playlist could not be loaded: Error #1088

And there appears to be no thumbnail for the video uploaded. When I made the upload it said that it would take time to convert the video, but how long does that take and is this an error message meaning that its waiting to be converted or is this something else?

Other Info:

Running vBulletin 4.2.2P4
vBTube 2.6.9_vB4 (If I remember correctly my client bought the pro version a few years back when we first installed this)
PHP 5.4.33
MySQL 5.5.42
