BB|Messenger is a user to user messenger system for vb3 that runs off your user database.

This hack as been made for my own forums and has not been tested on any other forums, so its very likely that errors might be found on other system set up's.

To Install:

upload all the files in the same way that they are in side the zip.

once all files are upload load the page http://www.yourdomain.com/bbmessenger/
note that the address before bbmessenger/ will be the path to the folder on your site.

Follow the install page and your all done.

The only other thing that needs doing is the editing of the address's in the marquee.php file that you upload to your forums root.

and edit it to meet your own needs.

User linking to the messenger

put a link anywhere you like on your forums linking to /bbmessenger/index.php

How To's

To edit the colours edit the css in the files in the style folder.

Can not be given via my self due to work load please do not e-mail or pm asking for help in anyway because the reply will more and likely be no, this does not stop user's from helping each other with probs in this topic and if a fix or addon is made i will update the zip with it up on the asking of doing so.

Fix's

1) check your vBulletin cookies Prefix in vb's config file is set to bb like below:

// Prefix that all vBulletin cookies will have

$cookieprefix = 'bb';

if not set it to the above, if setting it to the above gives you errors with other hacks follow the steps on page 3 for editing messengers cookie call's.

this fix's the login error.

2) https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showpost....&postcount=164 Zip will get updated when next version is out.

When I go to install this, it says that it cant find my license i.d. What does that mean and how do I fix it?

Installed on the new 3.0.7 and works perfectly in Internet Explorer. But in Firefox the font colours in messages don't work, the font colour bar opposite the font names is only next to Verdana and the cursor over Send is the pipe (as when you place your cursor over text) and not the usual "hand" type.

just installed this and I am testing it had a user send a message and did not know it until I clicked on his name

Is there away that it would have a popup box that shows the message or did I do something wrong

I was wondering if there was a way to inter-link this between forums, ex. When a member of Ilex-Forest (Partly my forum) get's on BB|Messenger, they can chat with users that are online on BB|Messenger at Midnight Blaze (My freind's forum), but still have seperate links (http://ilex-forest.net/bbmessenger/index.php and http://midnightblaze.net/bbmessenger/index.php)

I know the response to this but I will post it anyway. I have made a program that does what this program does and more. Java based. Its a file you download. (Program) chat friends ect. in other words when you run this program you dont need to be on the bulletin board. that powerfull.

It was not made for vbulletin it was made for a differnt customer. If you guys are intrested I can make it for vb but I need funds. I have seen responses from things requested like this before so I know the answer.

Just thought I say it.
It would cost around 700$ to get done. (to pay the programmer) and it would be relased free of charge.

sounds weird but that is how it is. REAL screenshot attached. (yes it is real)

Why do you have to hijack someone elses hack thread fo this?

If you want to get attention for your own programms, simply open a thread for yourself.

A lot of the posts i have seen you make in the last period are pulling down other peoples work, or their lack of support. What is the reason you're doing this? Try bringing forward your own strong points (like posting your own work) instead of highlighting other people weak spots.
