UPDATED! Woohoo!

I just fixed/added stuff from version 1.0!

Download the new version 1.5 if you have the old 1.0 - lots of better features.

From the readme.txt:

This script isn't really a hack, just an external script that pulls information out of the VBulletin Database for news
or whatever reason you see fit. It's easy to install and configure, and has tons of the same features that many other
news scripts have, except you don't have to modify any Vbulletin source code (which I'm never comfortable doing
for some reason, but that's just me .

I had a really rough time finding a good, EASY news script that did what this does. I searched and found some, but
it really came down to easy installation. I didn't want to modify MySql tables or mess with the advanced Vbulletin
source (well, to me anyway). So I wrote this script. Yer.

This script was intended for VBulletin 2.0 only (I don't know if it will work with previous releases) and PHP4.

I have a couple different variations of this script configured and they all work. However I get a vbdb error when I try and include the headlines and the news on the same page.

It doesent say specificly what the error is :| the headlines appear but there is a db error.. I am trying to include 3 versions of the script on the same page as I want to pull news from our subsites.

Here is the vB error I get

BTW I get this when includeing headlines and news on the same page. EVEN when I use the same config file (the way im doing this it would be using multiple config files)

I believe it says in the readme

Where evr you have quotes you need to put a \ before it

for instances this line

should be...

Hello,

I just received an e-mail asking if I was supporting my hack, PluhNews. As of now, I'm am WAY to busy to provide tech support and help. Fortunately, there are many here who have had problems AND have had them resolved by helping each other out where needed.

I am not abandoning this hack, I do plan on returning and adding new stuff to it in the future. As of now, my schedule is much to crazy.
