I really like it the way it is - a different focus, leadership and mindset. I have been spending more and more time there on vbT recently.
What's the difference between merging and opening up a couple "Templates" boards on vB.org? Regards, Matt |

My $0.02 is that i think it will be better for both communities, they have over 20k members and maybe 4-5 members on at a time. I think it will have much needed attention if it was to be merged into vb.org.

I so hope this happens.
I've argued it a few times before, but the distributed sites do little to strengthen the support and extensibility of vBulletin as a product. It's simply too hard for newbies to know where they should go for what type of support or help, and as hacks can be split down templates and code (template conditionals vs PHP), it is very hard for them to understand where to find what they're looking for. All newbies seek are answers, and it would benefit all of us to have them find them as swiftly as possible... as this will reduce the amount of effort hackwriters have to give, as well as increase the feeling amongst newbies that the support network that the community offers is responsive and comprehensive. Go for it |

Pity it is so quiet over there, as there is plenty of useful stuff there. I think the problem is that people come and get what they want, then leave and don't come back. Stuff there tends to be stuff which is "final", you don't get the "back and forth" that you get from hacks which are evolving and always getting feedback.

I'll warmly welcome a fusion.. vBT.com was never a place i'd like to stay for very long. I posted some template mods there but I never liked the atmosphere over there nor I liked the style.
I really think the merge will be a great plus to the community and that's, in my eyes, the last chance for vBt.com to become more successful. |

Heres the Senario Lets say there is User1 and User2 . User1 registers here on Vbulletin.org Forums with sn User1 but doesnt register on Vbulletintemplates.com. User2 registers on Vbulletintemplates.com with the sn User1. If the two sites were to merge there would be a chaotic mess of the usernames if someone has taken that name on a different site. I dont think that there are to many of these im just saying that a lot of people use very repeatable names like Dan or Bob or something like that. Did that make sense |

I will really be happy to see vbulletintemplates.com alongwith vb.org, as i never visit vbt.com (reason, site is very heavy on grafix takes hell lotsa time for a dialup user to load)

1. We can take vb.org username as BASE (priority) and delete the users with different usernames but similar email id.. Will post more logic, if we really outta go ahead |
