Dear all

I just can't wait to share this information to all of you guys who love to twit.

This idea is coming from I want to show my own twitter status in my vb signature , lots of my member saw what I do , and want me to share them how to do this in their signature.

But the original twitter code can only show one person's status , others will show empty status.

So I and my member @chweng modify this code to make it works perfectly.

Now let me show you how to do this:

Installation Procedure:

1. download the attach files here

2.unzip it ,and upload to your site , for example , http://yoursite.com/twitter-iphone4tw.js

3.add a line in your headinclude in your style

PHP Code:
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://yoursite.com/twitter-jcms.js"></script
4.go to bbcode

Title: twitter
BB Code Tag Name: twitter
Replacement:
HTML Code:
*What am I doing now?
<div id="twitter_div">
<ul id="twitter_update_list_{param}"></ul>
<a href="http://twitter.com/{param}" id="twitter-link" style="display:block;text-align:right;" target="_blank">Follow me in Twitter...</a>
</div>
<script type="text/javascript" src="http://twitter.com/statuses/user_timeline/{param}.json?callback=twitterCallback2&amp;count=1"></script>
Example: [twitter]jcms[/twitter]
Description: You can put your Twitter status in your signature , just edit your signature , and input [twitter]your twitter id[/twitter] , then it works.

Use Option:no

I installed this over at Ice Cream Forum, but it stops working every now and then. I discovered that a carriage return is somehow getting inserted into my signature right after my Twitter name, so when the script tries to retrieve my feed it looks for Ice_Cream_Forum<br> instead of Ice_Cream_Forum. Any ideas why my sig is doing this every so often? I hadn't even edited it...

Also, does anyone have a good Twitter icon for the editor toolbar?

Im gagging for something similar to this, but haven't had time to look into an effective solution so Ill be watching this one instead!

Ideally, it would be great to have twitter publish to a custom field when an update occurs but I don't think thats dooable right now.

Good luck, I need this

the way I got around this was installing the "Add your blog feed to your post!" mod and use this Twitter feed tool tool to update my blog link with my twitter updates.

Altho I would still like to use this option, so users wouldn't have to tie up the possible blog link with their twitter updates.
