Certainly doesn't sound like playing with the hissing and growling at each other. They draw blood on occasion as well, a lot of the times mine.

Trust me it isn't playing. It is territorial conflict and outright fighting. I have the scars from being scratched to prove it from when they chase each other around the corner and one jumps in my chair with claws extended.

Anyway, the cats were tolerable until the last male was adopted. Now I pretty much hate the species. |

I had problems a few years back with my female cat after we adopted a female kitten...they just could NOT get along. So, I had to adopt the kitten back out...our home was a living hell on earth with those two together. Never had a problem with our three boys, though. They're all pretty laid back and accepting of new situations. I guess always thought that the reason the two never got along was because they were female, but now I'm wondering if maybe some cats are just more territorial than others? That's such a shame, really. I'd consider adopting that last male out again, if I were you, if just to keep the peace at home. |

Got to be Dogs -
Dogs attach themselfs to the owner and are loyal unlike a cat who attaches itself to the house. |

I don't want a dog. Maybe a small one someday. We have 2 cats, 2 hamsters, and a chinchilla.
