Default Signature

Default Signature!

Sometimes i just dont like it when people dont use a signature...That empty space below th posts...So i came up with this sollution to ad a default sigature!

1. In the postbit template find:

$post[signature]

And replace with

				<if condition="$post[signature]">$post[signature]
             <else />
                        <img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/nosignature.jpg"/></if>

- Save

2.) In the postbit legacy template find

$post[signature]

And replace with

				<if condition="$post[signature]">$post[signature]
             <else />
                        <img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/nosignature.jpg"/></if>

- Save

3. Upload nosignature.jpg to your misc images folder and your ready to go!

Note, if you need a custom signature made, please post here so i will make it!

i added this into the postbit and postbit legacy templates but it doesnt seem to be showing in users sigs.?

Does not work for me, i replaced the images with some text instead.

You should do the following:

Theres a little bug on the install note (i've tested on vb 3.6.8pl2)

open postbit and postbit_legacy and find:

PHP Code:

<if condition="$post['signature']">
<!-- sig --> 


Replace with:

PHP Code:

<!-- sig --> 


If you have installed another hacks before, it can be, that the code is not the same. But note, that you must delete $post['signature'] above <!-- sig -->.

Then find:

PHP Code:

<center>
$post[signature] 


Replace with:

PHP Code:

<if condition="$post[signature]">
$post[signature]
<else />
<img src="$stylevar[imgdir_misc]/nosignature.jpg"/>
</if> 


It works fine on my VB 3.6.8pl2.

Thanks for the hack... but i'm running into a problem... i tried everything that was posted here in the thread and i get it to work but some where in the code it messing with the private messenger. I had several user say that can't get into it.. when i remove the code in postbit and postbit lagency then it works.... any help would be greatful.. as the hack is great.!!
