I have wanted this hack for a while now. I decided to try and make it. So I did. Here it is.
This is only my 3rd hack so be nice. I am still learning. I will do my best to support this hack. If you want support click install.
What this hack does:
This hack allows users to place a donate link in their postbit. If your users release hacks or graphics for FREE for others to use then this is for them. The user can enter their paypal email in the userCP under profile. They can also select if they are paypal verified or not. If they select yes they are paypal verified then a link will show up so other users can verify it before making donations to them.
New Templates:1 New user fields: 2 Template edits: 2 Time to install: 1-3 minutes Images to upload: 2
You can edit the link titles to your likes and you can change the currency to your preference in the adminCP> vboptions.
I have added some screen shots for you to see what it does.
Also the links have the nofollow tag and open in a new window.
I hope this comes in handy for your forum.
To control which forums this shows in do the following:
Open the eg_donate template. At the very beginning of the template add this
Make sure to change the X's above to the forum you want this to show up in. Separate them with a comma. Do not use this if you want it to show in all forums.
Thanks to Paul M and SkyCatcher for help.
Update Version 1.2
I made it so the admin can use either buttons or text links. You can decide this in your adminCP. Did this by request.
NOTE: If you find that your template did not get updated then you will have to remove the old template. This only takes about 5 seconds to do. Instructions on how to do so is in the Upgrade Instructions. Sorry for this inconvenience but when imported it is upgrading everything but the template. I am looking into this.
Added a screen shot for you to see how the buttons look.
Upgrade instructions are in the ZIP file.

Just set up each new profile field just it says in the instructions. Those are setup so each user can enter their own info in the userCP. Use the exact wording I used. Do not put your personal info in when setting up the user fields.

I will do my best to keep this up to date with each new release, but I can't see as to why it won't work on all new releases. It does not do any major changing to templates.

Yes I have tested this on the latest version of vB.
Sorry for sounding a noob, but I have uploaded the XML file to my adminCP. Where exactly is the place and how do I get to it - to change the two fields, Please?
I am running version 3.6.8 Patch Level 2.
Many Thanks.
I have since found out with a little help from our friends over at vBulletin.COM....
