[DBTech] Dragonbyte Gallery v1 (vB4)
Developer Last Online: Mar 2023
Dragonbyte Gallery is a fully functional gallery system addon for your forum that will allow your users to create their own photo albums to store and display their images. You can run multiple instance of the gallery on the same site with the same files, yet have a completely different look and function because of the modular sytem it was built on. Users can customize how their gallery profile is displayed on each instance.

Each instance can have a different look and feel to it, and with enough work can have a completely different function because of the system we built it on. AJAX integration We used AJAX wherever we could to help reduce the page reloads Automatic resizing and thumbnail creation As long as your server can handle it, the users can upload whatever size pictures they want. The gallery will control the size displayed and stored, and will even create a thumbnail, all automatically. Users no longer have to worry about resizing their images to fit what your forum specifies. If you do not have a server with the power to resize images (GD image library can get pretty memory intensive) then you can set the gallery to reject images that do not fit into your size criteria. User Albums Users can create their own image albums to organize and display sets of their images. Albums can also be set to hidden and/or password protected. So users who want to have images for only certain friends or not visible to anyone else at all can easily organize them. Complete Feature List (Lite)

@DragonByte Tech
Dylan, I've installed 1.2.1 lite on my 4.2.0.PL2 site and I am having an issue importing albums in the ACP and editing other members pics. When I import albums for some reason each pic is created 3 times. I was going to try and delete the extras but I get an error stating I do not have permission which makes no sense being the admin and the only group ticked to doing anything with the mod. Any suggestions where I can look or check to see why my pics are being triplicated and why I don't have permission to edit? Thanks in advance. Alibass |

I have a question about importing files from another gallery mod.
Years ago the previous forum owner had purchased PhotoPlog Pro as a gallery for the 3.8 version of our forum. However, a few months ago it quit working but we had plans to buy and install vb4.2, which we did. We're looking to install another gallery, such as this one, but we'd like to be able to import all those pictures that were a part of the PhotoPlog gallery, and was wondering if this is possible, and if so, if it's possible to keep the same photo permissions. There's quite a few photos that only certain groups were able to view and I'd hate to import those photos and all of a sudden everybody on the whole forum would be able to see them. |

Can you please post this on our website? It's against the rules to help with pro mods on here. Dylan |

I'm not sure why you'd be getting triplicates of the images. Could you give me a temp account that has access to both the gallery and albums? Dylan |

As far as protection, there is no usergroup image level protection. The only protection setup is password protected albums and usergroup level categories. You could setup categories that only certain usergroups can see and move the images into there before you put it online. Dylan |

I am truly sorry I swore I read all the posts on your mod. I was not aware about the add to the usergroups. I set it to yes and it's working fine, BUT I did notice if I want to change that persons album location I'm editing it only shows my albums to choose from and not everybody's. I'll look for the delete fix in the next release and thank you. I would be more than happy to give you site access but after hours of trying to import via the Gallery Import I gave up and downloaded everybody's pics manually, recreated their albums and FTP pics to folder 1 and used the ACP Mass Import feature to send the pics to the correct albums and categories. So as it stands I've worked around my issue and wont be importing large amounts of pics at anyone time. -A |

Just installed this and it's looking good but ........
Everything seemed to install OK and I went through the settings and then was able to access the gallery. So far so good. I then created a category and album, then tried to upload a couple of pics into the album. This BTW was done as Administrator. When I tried to upload I got a page full of error messages. I've pasted some examples below, what do you think the problem might be? Warning: imagecreatetruecolor() [function.imagecreatetruecolor]: Invalid image dimensions in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 771 Warning: imagecolorallocate() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 779 Warning: imagecolortransparent() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 780 Warning: imagealphablending() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 781 Warning: imagesavealpha() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 782 Warning: imagecopyresampled() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 786 Warning: imagepng() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 804 Warning: imagedestroy() expects parameter 1 to be resource, boolean given in [path]/dbtech/gallery/includes/class_core.php on line 808 Thanks. |
