New Posting Features - [hide] hack incl post thank you "addon"

Hi again,

I've tried my best to build a [hide] hack that will fit to to
the wonderful POST THANK YOU HACK

but for sure you can use it without, then it'll work if user replies to a post with hidden content

You can coose in acp to show hidden content to admins mods or users of a certain usergroup (if you have useradmins or something) too.

It will show up some hint that will let your users know what to do (thank, answer, or even nothing)
by now with some small text, soon with a set of images

BUT

• my english is way off what I want it to be, so please go ahead and edit the language file to your needs

• no hidden content visible in printthread.php if not in showthread.php

So, here's what you've all been waiting for *grin*
Tha ajaxified version of my hide hack.

BUT, this is rather bruteforcing ajax, so be warned
First: you could fully disable ajax for this script in ACP!
Now how it goes, it checks the length of pagecontent every three seconds (usersides, no worries about serverload here), and if it finds some new "content" like a filled thanks-box or a new post it calls all the posts that have hidden content (of this page only of course) and tries to refill the postbits,
this causes some sql-queries, almost as much as to totally reload the page itself.
AS soon as I find a more elegant method I will update again.
Nothing else was changed though since 2.6, only modified in handling the ajax-request.
If you encounter any problems with the ajax of this script, just deactivate,
no javascript at all then will be loaded from this script, and you'll have a "normal" version in hands.

The images are working 2 now just added some phrases
And now i was wondering how you get rid of the fieldset i was seaching and found this:

just an update

i installed a clean board in my laptop..and your hack works more than perfect.........

i imported board setting from that new board to the clone board......and nothing happened...same bug....on refresh...everything is closed again

that means it is something related to the settings.......

plus i dont think it is related to any other hack...since all other hacks and plugins are disabled......

to tell you the truth......i dont have a clue.........

if you like to,
but having a fieldset or anything that keeps you (as an mod or admin) keep track on what's hidden and what's not to a user is somewhat important (at least it is most of the times )
But that only removes the fieldset for hidden images, parsed tags-fieldset is hardcoded to the plugins

could you export your settings, please?
(delete all security related stuff from the xml right afterwards)
that way I can find the differences to see what setting may be the ugly one

i have a problem with this hide hack mod my proglem is that i cant get this work on all the threads when i use [hide] code on some threads it works fine but on some of other threads it just hides the message between the [hide] codes i dunno weather i have problem at installing or is it from my version of vb if anyone can help me to put up with this problem ill apparieate it thnx...

it always just hides whats inside the [hide]-tags (see images attached to first post)
that's what the hack is made for.

sorry, but I don't think that you should use copyrighted images in my hack
You've changed a phrase that you simply shouldn't have changed to an image.

sorry sid......i wanted to say..it is NOT a setting issue...since i imported a clean setting from a clean install...

i will send you my setting.via PM.....and oh BTW...i dont think there is any security issue in the setting......also no info except the contact email

i will check the xml file and send it to you

maybe you get a new idea......

since they are not the setting..nor other hacks...nor other plugins...( by exclusion method)

the only thing i have in mind right now is the templates........maybe one of the template changes is doing that.....however i dont knoe how would it do it....
