Info:

This product allows you to set permissions based on user’s post count for:
-viewing forum (threads listing),
-viewing threads content,
-creating new threads,
-replying to threads,
-viewing attachments,
-Viewing/Posting links/images and e-mail addresses,
-adding links to signatures
-voting on polls,
-sending private messages,
-sending e-mails,
-posting Visitor messages
-viewing Albums
-creating new Albums
-posting Picture comments
-viewing Social Groups
-creating new Social Groups
-posting Group messages

This will disallow members with no permissions to view forums/threads/posts/links through normal view, printthread, search, archive, thread preview. Note that you can set Forum/Thread Permissions for each forum/sub-forum separately. Screenshot shows additional options in Forum Manager and error messages shown to user when trying to view restricted area.

How it works and why it's better than vB Promotions system?!
Forum is shown on forumhome but with "Locked" icon and if you have no needed post count you'll get "no permission" error message. When you set this via vB Promotions system forum is hidden on forumhome and you must create additional usergroup to make all this working. When user collect needed amount of posts he will be able to access protected forum immediately. When you set this via vB Promotions system then user must wait until Promotions task is executed ... then he will be able to access protected forum. How much time user must wait it depends on settings in AdminCP/Scheduled Tasks... and if you set this to run every minute it pushes your server. If you set it to 2 or more minutes then user must wait more and more... and nobody like it.

Installation:
Import XML file (as product) through AdminCP > Plugin System > Manage Products > [Add/Import Product]

This mod doesn´t work with posts from Tapatalk.

If you write a post through Tapatalk, the mod doesn´t detect how many posts the user has.

Still struggling with this. As far as I can tell everything in the vB PM Settings is right as is the Usergroup Settings as well as the plugin. When someone tries to PM they are told they don't have enough posts and that they can only PM staff but they can't. I disabled all plugins to see if there was a conflict but that didn't work.

Has anyone else experienced this? Any idea how to fix it?

Maybe you can add the same features based on reputation?

Because for example if we put that the users need to reach 50 post in order to access to the PM's they can reach even just by say "thanks" or "hello".

Also, if we create based on reputation and we promote the reputation system the community will increase quality posts.

what do you think?

Is there any way to make guests only see images but can't see links on forum?
Thanks,

Installed on a forum with over 100k members and its an amazing mod. Once completly happy will mark on here that we're using it and rate it but we're having a problem.

Anyone can send PM's no matter what settings we use. I have it set for min posts 5 and to allow them to send PM to staff. However I create a new account with 0 posts and can send PM's with no problem. Is it meant to stop people accessing the PM page or stop them from sending the messages?

Either way its not working. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Dean.

So the PM restriction capability is no longer working with vBulletin 4.2. Can anybody else confirm?

When i set restrictions for one of the sections i can't add links in code tags. Is it possible that restriction doesn't count links in code tags? I need this please

PM restriction doesn't work in the vB 4.2. Regardless of the post count limit or usergroup, a user can send the PM even though it gives a warning you can't.

There are a few things which don't work right
It's a shame as it's a great mod when it works right just wish it would get updated
