About this hack:
This hack allows you to set a thread as 'must read' by your members. Right now, if you make a post and want all your members to read it, you have no way of enforcing it. This hack will give an error message similar to the one you get when you need to change you password, saying that the admins want you to read a certain thread before they continue using the forum.

Once a user reads a thread, they wont be bugged to read it again.

You can set all usergroups or just certain onces that must read a thread.

You can set to site wide or just some forums.

Option to Force Guests

This hack added one query to every page on your forum a member goes to.

• Added link in "Administrative" drop down on the showthread page to edit force read settings.

I installed this mod and when i go for settings & i save them i don't see anything and when i log in as a user or admins i don't see any message forcing me to read the thread i added in the settings. Not sure where i am doing something wrong. Thanks for the help in advance

Yes i put in the thread id (that's what it says to put in thread id) unless i have to put in the complete link for the thread ???

Weird but i re-installed to see if it works or not and it finally did

Anyone have any problem adding a new thread to view? I wanted to make the moderated user group have to re-read the rules again, but every time I click save, I'm transported back to the main page where only my two original force thread views are shown.

I had the same issue, I was entering a wrong post ID. Put a correct post ID and it will work.

There should be a checkbox on every thread that you can just check if you want everyone to read it.

yea does not work on 4.2 p2 either. I've had this on many sites and worked perfectly. Hopefully we can get this revived!

I'm don't know what min/max version values I'm looking for, to change.

It still doesn't work on my 4.2 PL2.
