Cant stand the heat get out of the kitchen.... Thats what people do. At least they want to learn and are asking questions and since its free there is no obligation to answer.....

You can learn in one day of getting your hands dirty more then what you could learn reading a book for a week... Just how things work.

Just as the solution for making good web sites is not to write crappy code for IE that might work in Firefox, the solution for truly making your forum unique is to modify it in a way you understand. This is one of those few times where the users are the problem.

For example, would you edit 12 bytes in your OS kernel if you had no idea what it would do? It could speed up your computer or eject your CD drive every time you pressed a key.

Vbulletin message board owners buy the software so that they can have a fully fuctional message board without programming abilities.


I would edit that kernal if others did and I was following instructions that were in a text file. I would also understand that I could not hold the author liable for any damages as I am not paying for those instructions.

I was having no knowledge on either HTML or PHP, but still I installed hacks because I know there are instructions.
