Easy Postbit Switcher

This plugin will make it possible for the user to switch between new and legacy postbits from showthread.php using the Display Modes menu.

This plugin requires the 'User Postbit Template Selection' plugin by WhSox21 to be installed. The plugin can be found here.

The plugin requires 2 template edits (both in the SHOWTHREAD template), 1 edit of WhSox21's plugin and 1 edit of the field created whilst installing WhSox21's plugin.

your instructions seem to be missing a closing < /tr > tag just above / Postbit Selector in step one.

works good with 3.5.0

The find section doesn't have it in so it's never lost.

I installed it on 3.5 and it won't switch back and forth, only one option is available and it's always the switch to vertical. Once I switch, it still says switch to vertical, not horizontal.

I have the first plug in installed and that's working fine, I looked over the instructions and I don't believe I've missed anything.

Any ideas?

Nevermind.... ugh... I didn't change the Field5 in the showthread template to reflect my new user profile field number so the 'else' was always hit/executed.

Okay.. got everything setup, key was to make the event settings in the vboptions match the cmps upcoming events module settings.

On my cmps upcoming events module... recurring and all day events will show correctly with event name:dates however, ranged events only show the event name with no list of dates.

Does this plugin account for needing to cache the alternative postbit template?

If the User Postbit Template Selection plugin is installed to cache_templates, as suggested (so that broken soft-deleted post display, etc. are fixed), the postbit switcher works to change the setting, but the page needs to be reloaded before it actually takes effect. Is there a good way to reload the page after setting the option in this plugin?
